LOCATION: Meath Springboard Family Support Services, Mangan House,
Windtown, Navan
ABOUT US: Meath Springboard Family Support Services provide a range of
services to support adults in their parenting role for the benefit of
their children. We are a registered charity and most of our work is
funded by Tusla the Child and Family Agency.
The Child Contact Service offer a welcoming space for children to
nurture and/or re-establish contact with a parent or other significant
adult to the child. The children attending access may be living with a
parent, an extended family member or foster carers. The Child Contact
Service provides children with the opportunity to spend quality time
with their parents and/or relatives in a safe, neutral space.
BRIEF DETAILS OF POSITION
Child Contact Support Worker (Sessional)
Minimum **Apply on the website** hrs per week, with work primarily
focused on Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week. Additional hours
may be available subject to demand.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES.
* Supervision of contact between children and their parents,
siblings, etc.
* Provide support to children and parents to engage positively in
access sessions.
* Provided written summary reports on each contact session.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS;
* A recognised third level qualification (FETAC Level 7 or above) in
one of the following:
_SOCIAL CARE, CHILD CARE, SOCIAL WORK OR YOUTH WORK_
* Excellent observational, IT and report writing skills essential.
